Chim Chim’s Artist-in-Residence programme continues to connect Bangkok’s vibrant art scene with global audiences. This season, we welcome Belgian mixed-media artist Miguel Delie, whose exhibition “Beyond the Sugar Clouds” transforms the space into a whimsical, candy-coloured wonderland. Delie reimagines beloved childhood characters like SpongeBob and Doraemon through bold sculptural compositions made from found objects and toys.

At first glance, Delie’s works appear as colourful, fantastical worlds, but on closer inspection, intricate details and childhood memorabilia evoke both joy and introspection. Delie invites viewers to reconnect with a carefree past, offering an escape from daily life.
